About the role
As an AIT test technician, you play a key part in testing the propulsion equipment for satellites made by Dawn. You'll carry out specialised testing tasks in our workshop and cleanroom facilities. All systems are assembled, integrated and tested in-house in Delft before delivery to customers worldwide.
Your responsibilities
- Conduct tests including leak tests, pressure tests, environmental trials, and hot fire tests
- Prepare and execute hardware testing at component and subsystem level, independently or with AIT team support
- Operate measurement equipment and test rigs
- Write test reports and analyse test data
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control to ensure all production data is accurate and complete
What you need
- Experience with pressurised systems and pressure test equipment (such as pressure regulators), including fluid and hydraulic systems
- Experience with basic measurement instruments such as multimeters and pressure gauges
- Ability to read and follow test procedures
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Ability to handle change quickly and positively
- Ability to follow and maintain basic safety procedures
- Fluent English
- Work and study level at MBO or HBO standard
Desirable experience
- Experience with propulsion subsystems, other satellite subsystems, or similar work such as aircraft assembly/maintenance and high-tech manufacturing
- Working in geographically distributed teams
- Experience working in controlled environments such as cleanrooms
- Production process development experience (e.g. Lean/6 Sigma)
