About the role
Join Dawn Aerospace's in-space propulsion team in Delft as an Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Technician. You will own the AIT of satellite propulsion systems from CubeSat up to 1-tonne class, built on Dawn's high-performance green propellant architecture. All systems are assembled, integrated and tested in-house. Travel to customer facilities for integration and support should be expected.
Your responsibilities
- Assembly, integration and test activities of satellite propulsion systems
- Write AIT documentation including integration procedures, test procedures and test reports
- Procure necessary equipment and perform quality control and acceptance testing of incoming goods
- Manage in-house and external manufacturing
- Work with System Design Engineers to ensure all production data is accurate and complete
- Schedule and communicate production activities
- Customer handover and delivery
What you bring
- 2+ years hands-on AIT experience on highly complex systems such as semiconductor equipment, satellites, astronomy equipment, flight simulators or aircraft maintenance
- Proven oral and written communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and engineering professionals
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments and independently
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and positively
Desired experience
- Working with a quality management system that meets ISO9001
- Production process development experience, such as Lean or 6 Sigma
