Your Role

As a Fluid Systems Engineer, you will develop, analyse, and validate the fluid systems that power and support our launch vehicle propulsion architecture. Working across the entire development lifecycle, you will transform requirements into robust hardware and system solutions, from concept and modelling through testing, qualification, and flight operations support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define fluid system requirements, architectures, and interfaces in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain analytical and simulation models to evaluate fluid system performance and operability.
  • Design fluid system hardware and assemblies, including the creation of technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support component procurement, manufacturing, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate component- and system-level test campaigns.
  • Analyse test data, identify root causes of anomalies, and drive design improvements.
  • Generate technical reports, specifications, and verification documentation.
  • Ensure fluid system performance, reliability, and safety throughout the full product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or M.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong fundamentals and practical experience in fluid dynamics, including the modelling and analysis of complex fluid systems, ideally in the context of rocket propulsion.
  • Hands-on experience in test preparation, operation, and post-test data analysis and review.
  • Experience with machining processes, drawing creation, and CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages for engineering applications and automation.
  • Skilled in data analysis and the preparation of technical reports and engineering documentation.
  • Proven engineering excellence, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for rocket propulsion and space.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Bonus Skills

  • Proficiency in EcosimPro/ESPSS for fluid system simulation and analysis.
  • Hands-on testing experience with fluid systems, including cryogenic fluids and oxygen compatibility.

Benefits

  • Employee Participation Program: Share in company success through virtual company shares
  • 30 days of vacation annually
  • Company pension plan with 20% employer contribution after probation
  • Subsidised lunch daily
  • Rental clothing with laundry service
  • Sports club membership (EGYM Wellpass)
