Your Role

As NDT Inspector you will contribute to the success of Isar Aerospace products through both routine production inspections and development projects. Working across manufacturing and design teams, you will own a varied and engaging scope of non-destructive testing activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare inspections by reading drawings, selecting appropriate standards and calibrating test equipment
  • Conduct non-destructive material testing on metallic and non-metallic materials including carbon fibre reinforced polymers, adhesive bonds, welds and additively manufactured parts, following applicable standards and specifications
  • Evaluate test results against standards and specifications
  • Document inspection findings with full traceability
  • Interpret and communicate detected defects to relevant teams
  • Plan, execute and document first articles and special part inspections
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of testing areas, document non-conformities and manage inspection equipment
  • Pursue ongoing training and certification in NDT equipment and new methods such as infrared thermography

What You Bring

  • Completed apprenticeship in materials testing or equivalent qualification, or comparable experience in plastics or metal processing
  • Initial professional experience in non-destructive testing or entry-level ability with above-average prior performance
  • Testing and evaluation capability at part and material level
  • UT Level 2 and/or PT Level 2 qualification and certification to EN 4179 or DIN EN ISO 9712 desirable
  • High quality awareness
  • Resilience, flexibility and strong teamwork
  • Motivation to tackle complex challenges
  • Occasional travel willingness
  • Fluent German, English B2 level minimum
