Your Role

You will strengthen Isar Aerospace's flight software capability by working on launch vehicle software including flight logic, mission sequencing, simulation environments and vehicle control software. You will raise engineering standards through expertise, judgement and execution.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or make major contributions to the design and implementation of complex flight software systems.
  • Make pragmatic architectural decisions that balance correctness, maintainability, performance and long-term platform evolution.
  • Help improve engineering standards, development practices and technical direction in areas of strong expertise.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews and day-to-day technical collaboration.
  • Design and implement vehicle flight modes, mission sequencing and autonomy logic.
  • Develop and improve simulation environments used for software development and validation.
  • Write high-quality C++ and develop supporting tools and automation using Python and MATLAB.
  • Investigate complex or difficult-to-reproduce issues through disciplined, data-driven root-cause analysis.

  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Linux, Git, CI/CD, SIL or HIL environments.
