Your Role

As a Software Test Engineer in the Ground Control Systems team, you will contribute directly to the development and maintenance of testing systems supporting the development of new aerospace technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows related to testing, automation, and software delivery.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and automate tests where feasible.
  • Work with existing SIL/HIL setups, helping to extend, debug, and improve them over time.
  • Support IVVQ activities, including integration testing, verification, validation, and qualification of new firmware and software components.
  • Perform regression testing and help refine the testing process for faster iteration.
  • Document test results, identify failure patterns, and share insights with engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with PLC and software engineers to investigate issues discovered in the field and incorporate learnings into the testing pipeline.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in software testing in RTOS environments.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience with TwinCAT and Python for test automation.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies for real-time and automation systems.
  • Hands-on work with test rigs, hardware interfaces, and measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with data logging, tolerance measurement, and evaluating real-world variability.
  • Organized and proactive with high attention to detail, can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience designing or extending custom HIL/SIL test rigs.
  • Ability to create simulation models (e.g. with MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Knowledge of safety critical standards (IEC 62061, ECSS-Q-80, ECSS-E-40, ECSS-Q-40, FAA AC 450.141-1A).
