Your Role

Join the Avionics Department within the Electrical Engineering Team responsible for high-reliability hardware design of PCBAs and Avionics Units that form the backbone of the Spectrum Launch Vehicle.

As a working student, you will participate in development of Avionics PCBAs and Units, conduct acceptance testing and qualification testing, and maintain test rigs. You will work on interdisciplinary tasks in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Carry out acceptance tests of PCBAs and Units
  • Design, assemble and test rapid prototyping PCBAs for test rigs and units
  • Conduct troubleshooting analysis of PCBAs and Units
  • Support testing, documentation and architectural design activities of Avionics
  • Take responsibility for design and testing related ad-hoc tasks such as technical proof-of-concepts
  • Build up and maintain automated qualification and acceptance testing infrastructure

Your Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at university in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or comparable field
  • Hands-on experience with mixed signal electronics and power electronics
  • Experience in testing PCBAs and electrical systems
  • Proficient in the use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies and signal generators
  • Experience with PCB design in Altium Designer or similar
  • Can-do mentality and willing to go the extra mile
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
