About the Role

Join the Manufacturing Assembly, Integration and Testing department at ISISpace to validate subsystems and systems while acting as the technical bridge between product design and production. You will ensure product designs are optimized for high-reliability, low-risk and cost-effective manufacturing.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, production and quality to identify and resolve manufacturability issues early in the product lifecycle. This role ensures flight hardware and ground support equipment meet space-grade manufacturing, material and reliability standards while remaining cost effective.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Preparation of Subsystem MAIT

  • Determine the nature, scope and priority of activities required for manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing of satellite systems
  • Estimate required man-hours and lead times, then prepare weekly and daily planning including work plans and material requirements
  • Identify necessary parts, outsourced services and request quotes for materials and services from third parties
  • Order materials and services, and reserve materials at the technical warehouse
  • Ensure minimal disruption to production and optimal utilization of personnel and resources

Coordinate and Execute Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Testing Activities

  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics and technical documentation to ensure accurate assembly and integration
  • Integrate subsystems and products into the main system, ensuring compatibility and functional operation
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless integration of components across various system levels
  • Conduct functional and performance testing of assemblies and integrated systems using specialized equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and test benches
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during testing, document results and work with engineers to resolve problems

Quality Assurance

  • Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure the final product meets all performance, safety and reliability standards
  • Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards such as IPC-3 and ECSS in aerospace, and safety protocols
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date and reflects the final system configuration

Collaboration and Improvement

  • Interact with colleagues in a multidisciplinary work environment
  • Receive and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
