About the Role
You will join as Senior Ground Segment Software Engineer, taking ownership of existing and new projects that span user interfaces for commanding and telemetry through to low-level satellite packet processing. You are a key member of the development team responsible for architecture decisions, design activities, product management, and user support.
ISISpace is investing heavily in its Mission Control Software suite to automate satellite operations and control the next generation of satellites.
What You Will Do
- Take ownership of the ground segment technical roadmap, align it with company goals, and ensure its feasibility and success
- Take ownership of the ground segment architecture and lead its development according to the roadmap
- Design and develop extensions and new applications and maintain existing software with the development team and users (internal and external)
- Identify suitable technologies, perform trade-offs, and propose design changes
- Provide technical coaching to the ground segment software team
- Conduct code and design reviews

You have a holistic view of problem solving, know how to prioritize work, and understand that success requires iteration. You will provide technical coaching to the team and an advisory role to management regarding technical developments and needs.
