Senior Avionics Engineer (F/M/X) Verified today
Your Main Responsibilities
You will join a lean avionics team with short decision paths and real ownership, scaling flight and test hardware for propulsion systems.
- Plan, manage and conduct hardware designs for avionics modules from concept to test: capture requirements, architecture, schematic, component selection, PCB layout, manufacturing and bring-up.
- Create test plans, plan and support assembly integration and test of propulsion hardware. Run bench tests on PCBs and validate at module and system level, documenting results.
- Manage electronics and avionics projects and develop ISPTech's avionics lab.
- Plan, develop and build prototypes, manage design reviews, and reengineer existing boards for reliability, manufacturability and performance.
- Integrate hardware, firmware and software, define and maintain ICDs, support propulsion system integration and testing.
- Apply relevant standards and best practices, design for EMC, signal/power integrity, derating and radiation mitigations appropriate to mission requirements.
Your Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant area.
- Experience with supplier coordination, project management or team management.
- Familiar with the space industry and ideally experience with space projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Experience building embedded systems end to end.
- Working knowledge of EMC design, signal/power integrity, component derating and radiation effect considerations; familiarity with relevant standards is a plus.
- System integration experience across hardware, firmware and software. Comfortable with ICDs, harnessing and test benches.
- Knowledge in C/C++ and Python for firmware development, test automation and data analysis respectively.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
