About the role
Join the ACS and Kickstage Propulsion team to develop, model, test and bring to flight readiness complete fluid systems for MaiaSpace's Colibri orbital vehicle and launcher attitude control systems.
Colibri serves as a kick-stage enhancing launcher performance and injection flexibility, with future in-orbit services capabilities including active debris removal. The vehicle uses green chemical propulsion based on hydrogen peroxide oxidizer and ethanol fuel, tested at MaiaSpace's dedicated test facility in Vernon.
Your responsibilities
- Manage specifications for propulsion fluid systems and equipment (valves, tanks, pressure regulators, fluidic components)
- Manage multiple key suppliers for propulsion sub-system equipment, requiring travel across France and Europe
- Conduct design and manufacturing activities for propulsion fluid systems
- Develop 0D/1D performance and functional fluidic models
- Consolidate fluid system budgets (pressure, mass flow, mass)
- Plan and conduct AIT activities for propulsion fluid systems
- Plan and execute hot fire test campaigns
- Interact regularly with AIT and test teams in Vernon
- Prepare flight submission documentation and participate in flight campaigns in Kourou
- Define operational modes and control algorithms for propulsion fluid systems
- Participate in vehicle and propulsion system budget consolidation (propellants, power, performance, pressure, mass, length, data)
- Contribute to overall Colibri propulsion system definition and development
- Support Attitude Control Systems definition and development for all stages
- Participate in MaiaSpace's propulsion community of practice
- Develop preliminary propulsion solutions for future IOS kick-stage versions
