Electronics Engineer – Satellite Manufacturing (AIT Production) Verified today
The Role
You will test and improve the electronic assemblies that go into our satellites, working hands-on with production teams to make sure our hardware is reliable, manufacturable and ready for space.
Your Responsibilities
- Integrate and validate electronic assemblies used in satellite manufacturing.
- Support new product introduction and day-to-day production activities.
- Develop and run test procedures, validation setups and diagnostic tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair PCBs and electronic systems during build and test.
- Work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering and Test to apply design for manufacturability and testability.
- Analyse production and test data to identify issues and drive improvements.
- Create and maintain electrical and test documentation, including schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Work with Supply Chain and suppliers on component quality, traceability and obsolescence.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ESD controls, IPC standards and aerospace quality requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, PCB design and component selection.
- Confidence fault-finding and repairing electronic assemblies using oscilloscopes, multimeters and logic analysers.
- Hands-on ability with soldering and rework of surface-mount and through-hole components.
- Working knowledge of IPC standards and ESD-controlled environments.
- Ability to define, follow and improve electronic test and validation processes.
- Comfort working with production data, test results and traceability systems.
- A structured, methodical approach to problem solving and root cause analysis.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across engineering, production and quality teams.
- High standards for quality, reliability and documentation.
