About the role
Open Cosmos' Quality and Product Assurance (QPA) team drives continuous improvement across operations and facilities. As QPA Manager, you'll shape how the company works by bringing industry best practices to life and identifying ways to boost efficiency, reliability, and quality. You'll also represent customers' voices within the company, ensuring their needs are integrated into design, development, and delivery of products and services.
What you'll do
- Drive creation and continuous improvement of processes for developing and producing high-performance space hardware and software
- Support industrialization of next-generation satellites
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish cross-departmental processes and synergies
- Identify and manage quantified risks, making decisions in a fast-changing environment
- Advocate for customer needs at every stage of product delivery
- Manage team motivation and performance to deliver mission success
What you need
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems applied to the space sector
- Practical knowledge of ECSS standards and ISO9001
- Ability to identify and take quantified risks and make decisions in fast-changing environments
- Strong communication skills and capability in managing people
- Proactive approach with ability to operate autonomously and self-motivate
- Problem-solving using logic, analysis, and past experience
Working arrangements
This is an on-site position with occasional remote work. You will be required in the office/lab at least 2-3 days per week, fluctuating based on business needs. During qualification test campaigns, longer on-site stints (e.g. 2 weeks consecutively) may be required. If an emergency arises while working from home, you may be required to come to the office/lab on short notice.
