About the role
Open Cosmos is seeking a Quality and Product Assurance Manager to lead the creation and continuous improvement of processes for developing and producing high-performance space hardware and software.
This hands-on, technical role significantly impacts production and supply chain aspects, supporting the industrialization of next-generation satellites. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish cross-departmental processes and synergies.
What you will do
- Drive continuous improvement across quality and product assurance operations
- Represent customer voices within the company, ensuring their needs are integrated into design, development, and delivery
- Establish and improve processes aligned with ECSS standards and ISO9001
- Identify and manage quantified risks in a fast-changing environment
- Lead and motivate teams while managing cross-departmental collaboration
- Support the industrialization of next-generation satellites
What you need
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems applied to the space sector
- Practical knowledge of ECSS standards and ISO9001
- Ability to identify and take quantified risks and make decisions in fast-changing environments
- Strong communication skills and people management capability
- Proactive approach with ability to operate autonomously and self-motivate
- Problem-solving using logic, analysis, and past experience
Working conditions
On-site position with occasional remote work. You will be required in the office/lab at least 2-3 days per week, with fluctuations based on business needs. During qualification test campaigns, expect longer consecutive stints (e.g. 2 weeks). You may be called in on short notice if emergencies arise.
This role can be based at any Open Cosmos location. You must have legal right to work in your chosen location. Submit CV in English.
