About the Role
You will play a critical role in ensuring that various components and systems of flight hardware are assembled, tested, and installed with the highest quality. Your primary focus will be assembly, install, and testing of flight hardware through development and production of Terran R.
You will collaborate with the production team, integration engineers, and quality team to build, develop, and document job operations. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of aerospace processes. You must operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to successfully build and install flight hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install flight hardware components and systems
- Perform testing of integrated systems to ensure quality standards
- Apply fasteners and torque specifications per engineering requirements
- Execute secondary retention and bonding operations
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and calibrated measuring devices
- Work with integration engineers to document and optimize build procedures
- Climb ladders and work in tight spaces as required
About You
- 2+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment handling flight hardware and performing critical operations
- Technical skills including fastener/torque applications, secondary retention, testing, avionics familiarity, and bonding operations
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with engineering and production teams
- Ability to set up and operate hand and pneumatic tools along with calibrated tools and measuring devices
- Ability to climb ladders and work comfortably in tight spaces
Nice to Have
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant license
- Electromechanical build proficiency
- Familiarity with propulsion systems and components
Schedule and Compensation
This is a second-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. In addition to base pay, employees receive a 10% shift differential.
