About the Role
The Integration Technician is a hands-on technical contributor responsible for vehicle integration and pre-launch operations involving flight hardware. You will support system-level assembly, checkout, rework, testing, and troubleshooting across structural, fluid, and avionics systems for Stage 1, Stage 2, and payload integration activities.
What You Will Do
- Perform mechanical and system-level assembly, integration, checkout, rework, and testing activities on flight hardware in accordance with approved drawings, procedures, and specifications.
- Inspect and verify hardware configuration, fastener installation, torque applications, secondary retention methods, and related integration work to maintain configuration integrity and protect flight hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, fluid, avionics, and other off-nominal conditions in coordination with Engineering, Launch Operations, Quality, and other technical teams.
- Read and execute detailed engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and technical procedures while documenting work and identifying discrepancies that require additional review.
- Operate approved material-handling and access equipment, such as forklifts and aerial work platforms, as required to safely perform vehicle integration and launch-site activities.
- Support vehicle readiness and Technical Operations activities, including periodic travel to assist field operations or other operational needs.
About You
- 3+ years of professional experience performing aerospace mechanical work or comparable hands-on technical work in a manufacturing, production, aviation, or related environment.
- Experience working with flight hardware, high-value hardware, or other controlled hardware while following defined production, quality, or operational procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical instructions, and manufacturing or assembly documentation.
- Hands-on experience performing mechanical assembly activities, including fastener installation, torque applications, secondary retention methods, or comparable precision assembly processes.
- Experience performing mechanical or system-level testing, inspection, troubleshooting, or rework.
- Demonstrated familiarity with avionics systems or electrical/mechanical interfaces used in an integrated hardware environment.
Nice to Haves
- Experience supporting operations at a rocket launch facility, propulsion test stand, aircraft maintenance facility, or comparable aerospace environment.
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing complex mechanical or fluid systems, including field tube routing or tube bending.
- Experience using calibrated measurement and test equipment such as multimeters, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, depth gauges, or load cells.
- Experience operating authorized material-handling or access equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, or aerial work platforms.
Clearance and Compensation
Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Hiring range: $27.20 to $40.80 USD per hour. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Relativity Space offers competitive salary and equity, generous PTO and sick leave, parental leave, and an annual learning and development stipend.
