About the Team

The Systems Engineering team ensures Terran R functions as a cohesive, high-performing, and scalable system. One team builds tools and processes to manage requirements, track decisions, and identify and mitigate risk. The other focuses on the vehicle itself, working across subsystems to ensure they function as intended and to burn down technical risk. You will join a high-visibility department at a pivotal moment in the program.

About the Role

  • Work closely with engineering leadership ensuring systems engineering tools and processes enable responsible engineers to move fast while maintaining engineering rigor to prevent downstream issues.
  • Create and roll out new processes while streamlining or eliminating processes that are no longer effective or do not scale with the ambitious launch ramp rate.
  • Manage a team of engineers driving the existing Systems Engineering process and reducing risk at the subsystem and component level as the program enters Stage Testing.
  • Review requirements to ensure verification activities occur at the right time and burn down risk prior to stage testing.
  • Ensure test objectives are properly captured at the subsystem level and all affected parties are aligned on how objectives will be met.
  • Mentor team members and engineers in other departments, providing technical oversight to ensure processes burn down technical risk.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical positions working on system engineering, system definition, design and development, system architecture, system integration, and/or test and evaluation.
  • Full product lifecycle experience on at least one program, preferably two or more (from concept through production/operations).
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.
