About the Role

You will perform in-process and final inspection at onsite supplier facilities and internal cable and harness assembly manufacturing. You will travel approximately 80% of the time to supplier sites, both locally and domestically, to perform source inspections, conduct audits, and support supplier quality and compliance activities.

  • Maintain detailed inspection records and document nonconformances
  • Review purchase orders, certificates of conformance, test reports, material traceability, and shipping documentation for accuracy
  • Verify that parts match engineering blueprints, wire schematics, and bill of materials
  • Conduct electrical continuity and resistance tests
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality assurance and inspection processes

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cable and harness inspector or assembler in an electronics manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality function
  • Knowledge of cable and harness assembly and inspection following NASA-STD-8739.4 and/or IPC-A-620 standards
  • Experienced in conducting continuity tests using DMM and other portable measuring devices
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and internal specifications
  • Familiarity with avionics systems, components, and installations, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications
  • High level of attention to detail for thorough inspections and compliance with quality standards and regulations
  • Ability to travel up to 50-80%

  • Experience in process development and first-time quality efforts
  • Highly organized and able to provide structure to undefined problems
  • Experience leading projects or teams, demonstrating ability to take initiative and drive quality improvement efforts
  • Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620, IPC-A-610, or J-STD-001

Work Schedule

First shift, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT. Structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week.

Compensation
