About the Role
You will design, fabricate, operate, and maintain Terran R's launch pad and support facilities. Your core responsibilities include:
- Design launch pad propellant and gas infrastructure, including fluid system design, modeling, pipe stress analysis, fabrication drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, component lists, and detailed work instructions
- Supervise construction, activation, commissioning, and initial operations of these facilities
- Solve technically challenging problems across multiple disciplines under varying programmatic pressures
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of combined engineering experience
- Demonstrated engineering fundamentals in thermal and fluid analyses
- Working knowledge of fluid components such as valves, regulators, and instrumentation
Nice to Have
- Experience safely operating complex fluid systems, including high-pressure gas, cryogenic fluids, flammable liquids and gases, and hydraulics
- In-depth knowledge of launch vehicle ground support equipment and operations, including cryogenic tanks, pumps, valves, and instrumentation
- Proficiency with ANSYS and piping analysis software (Caesar, Bentley Autopipe)
- Experience working with DOD, USAF, and NASA personnel
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
Compensation and Clearance
Salary range: $124,000 to $170,500 USD. Relativity Space offers competitive equity, generous PTO and sick leave, parental leave, and an annual learning and development stipend.
Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
