About the Team
The Reliability team at Relativity Space ensures quality is built into every stage of the Terran R design and production process, embedding reliability from the very beginning. The team works directly with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to stay close to the hardware, understand constraints, and proactively shape decisions. As the program moves from development into production and scaled operations, this is the time to establish the right processes, controls, and inspections without slowing progress.
About the Role
You will:
- Develop, implement, and improve the quality management system in alignment with customer expectations and applicable regulatory requirements, international standards, and industrial methodologies
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure defined processes are robust and drive mission success throughout the entire product lifecycle
- Own the Document Control system, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient management of controlled documents, records, and change control processes
- Plan and lead internal audits to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the QMS
- Direct and support root cause investigations and corrective and preventive action processes to drive improvement of the management system
- Provide training and guide cross-functional teams on quality systems continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and measure management system data and report to management to drive system improvement
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related STEM field
- 5 or more years of experience in quality systems or quality engineering, familiar with QMS platforms and digital applications, preferably in aerospace
- In-depth working experience of AS9100 or ISO9001 requirements and principles
- Certified QMS lead auditor (AS9100 preferred)
- Strong skills in document control, process mapping, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Compensation
Hiring range: $113,000 to $169,000 USD. Compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Benefits include competitive salary and equity, generous PTO and sick leave policy, parental leave, annual learning and development stipend, and more.
