About the Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer you will lead the creation, development, streamlining, and elimination of systems engineering processes across the company to support an efficient, product-focused culture.
Your daily activities include:
- Finding pain points with existing processes and proposing solutions
- Working with the Software and IT department to brainstorm solutions and set priorities
- Prototyping, implementing, and rolling out processes, tools, and automation that enable better design and test collaboration across the company
About the Team
The Systems Engineering team ensures that Terran R comes together as a cohesive, high-performing, and scalable system. One team focuses on building tools and processes to manage requirements, track decisions, and identify and mitigate risk. Engineers work across domains with deep technical knowledge, not just documentation. The other team focuses on the vehicle itself, ensuring all subsystems function together as intended. You will be part of a high-visibility, high-impact department at a pivotal moment in the program, where decisions made today on trades, architecture, and process will shape the first launch and the long-term trajectory of Relativity.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience
- Successful development and roll-out of department or company-wide processes
- Proven ability to work with internal IT and DevOps teams to create tools
- At least 1 full life cycle experience, from concept to completion, for either process development or tool development
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree (MS) in engineering or related field
- Hands-on experience in the design, integration, test, and operation of complex systems
- Scripting experience
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Compensation
Hiring range: $132,000 to $198,000 USD. Compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and job-related factors. Benefits include competitive salary and equity, generous PTO and sick leave policy, parental leave, and annual learning and development stipend.
