About the role
ReOrbit is seeking a Senior AOCS Engineer to join our team in the Bangalore office. You will contribute to satellite design, integration and testing across the full lifecycle of our LEO and GEO orbit platforms.
What you will do
- Develop and implement AOCS algorithms for attitude and orbit control, including updates to simulation and flight software code.
- Collaborate with propulsion and mission analysis teams to define and implement orbital maneuver capabilities.
- Develop, execute and maintain AIT (Assembly, Integration and Testing) and operations procedures for AOCS components.
- Train AIT and satellite operators on AOCS procedures and provide technical support, including on-call duties.
- Lead AOCS anomaly investigations across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Research AOCS components in the market and oversee integration of new components into satellites.
- Work cross-functionally with team members across systems.
What we need
- At least 10 years of experience in AOCS roles.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Solid understanding of astrodynamics and key principles of attitude and orbit determination and control.
- Experience designing, operating and troubleshooting AOCS equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in C, Python, Git, Octave and GMAT.
- Hands-on experience with electronic laboratory equipment is a plus.
