ReOrbit is looking for a Senior Ground Software Engineer to join the team and support software campaigns for satellite product lines UKKO, SILTA and future missions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and maintain robust ground software systems for satellite communications, spacecraft database and mission operations
  • Participate in all stages of the software development process
  • Analyse customer requirements and flow down into software documentation
  • Deliver technical documents and estimates for proposals and reviews
  • Participate in defining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and work packages for bids
  • Define test and validation procedures
  • Support reviews at all levels of design, development and testing
  • Communicate effectively and provide support to Assembly, Integration and Test teams

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience developing complex software tools
  • Professional proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Python, C++, or similar)
  • Experience across the full software development lifecycle: requirements definition, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
  • Ability to work effectively in team-based and multidisciplinary environments
  • Professional experience using version control systems in collaborative development
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, well-structured documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality
