About the role
Revolv Space develops and manufactures critical subsystems for small satellites, including solar array drive assemblies, solar arrays and deployment mechanisms. We are hiring a Mechanical AIT Technician to join our Turin laboratory.
You will have great laboratory skills related to assembly and testing of mechanical systems, working closely with the AIT team lead and across other production and laboratory roles.
Your responsibilities
- Perform assembly and inspections of engineering and flight-worthy mechanical and mechanism assemblies
- Provide inputs to mechanical design and testing with focus on manufacturability
- Participate in quality management processes related to AIT of our products
- Maintain order in your assigned part of the lab infrastructure
- Document your AIT activities
- Work closely with design engineers to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, providing feedback to product design
- Contribute to development of test fixtures and ground support equipment
- Participate in development and conducting of tests for validation and flight qualification of products
What you need
- 1-3 years of hands-on AIT experience on complex mechanical, mechanism or electromechanical systems, such as spacecraft deployment or actuation systems
- Strong skillset in mechanical assembly and testing
- Familiarity with assembly, coating and gluing standards and good practices applicable to the sector (ECSS standards experience is an advantage)
- Excellent diligence, work organization and precise communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent English
