Senior (MBSE) Model-Based System Engineering – Systems Engineer Verified today
About the role
You will join the systems engineering team building the Outernet, Europe's first private and secure satellite network for enterprises and governments. Based in Munich, you will report to the MBSE Manager and work across an interdisciplinary team to consolidate system interfaces and ensure compatibility between all segments and subsystems.
What you will do
- Contribute model-based systems engineering expertise and interface management knowledge to RSN's system engineering team
- Develop MBSE models focusing on functional analysis, functional allocation, interfaces and data modelling
- Build and implement MBSE solutions supporting co-development with internal and external stakeholders on segment and subsystem modeling, including integration of supplier-provided subsystem models
- Develop and implement MBSE solutions to automate the interface management process
- Provide MBSE support to produce project deliverable documents according to program requirements
- Contribute to development and implementation of MBSE solutions for better integration of engineering processes and tools across all disciplines
- Analyze and present engineering results to stakeholders
- Travel occasionally as required
What you bring
- Degree in aerospace, electrical engineering or similar field
- Proven experience in Model-based Systems Engineering methodologies and tools
- Practical experience with ARCADIA methodology and Capella tool (preferred)
- Extended knowledge of systems engineering processes, methods, tools and standards
- Strong system thinking and ability to understand and synthesise complex issues
- Several years of experience working with system interfaces, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Understanding of behavioural and functional modelling of communication systems, preferably wireless communication systems
- Background in scripting and coding with experience in Python, Matlab, Java, VBA or similar programming languages
- Strong conceptual skills and ability to communicate in well-written technical documents
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in an international environment
- Excellent collaboration skills and experience with Agile methodologies
- Excellent written and spoken English
