About Rivada Space Networks
Rivada Space Networks is building the Outernet, a private and secure satellite network for enterprises and governments. We are recruiting experienced engineers to our Munich office to strengthen our constellation system engineering team.
Your Role
You will work on system engineering of Rivada's LEO satellite constellation, focusing on the Air Interface design. You will ensure the system is optimized for future operability while accounting for the constraints of operating a global communication system.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support design and implementation of RF communications systems and interfaces for LEO satellite network
- Prepare use cases, concepts and operational scenarios for the communications system
- Refine and formulate requirements for the system and subsystems related to air interface design
- Perform link budget analysis to assess communication link performance and optimize system parameters
- Support verification of air interface design, including test scenario preparation and documentation
- Support validation of end-to-end satellite communication system
What You Need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in telecommunication, microwave, or electrical engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in satellite communications system development
- Understanding of RF component characteristics and experience with lab equipment: spectrum analyser, network analyser, signal generator, oscilloscope, and/or packet analyzer
- Experience in RF link budget analysis
- Experience in system level RF performance analysis
- Understanding of electromagnetic propagation and antenna systems
- Experience with end-to-end satellite communication protocols and satellite access technologies such as DVB-S2X/RCS2, 5G-NTN or similar
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
