  • Evaluate and modify COTS hardware configurations to expand operational envelopes in extreme flight environments
  • Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify failures, define fault-tolerance requirements and implement robust software countermeasures
  • Analyze the overall avionics architecture to identify opportunities for leveraging standard instrumentation sensors and processing units to improve system fault tolerance
  • Design and build Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test setups to validate enhanced fault-tolerance algorithms

Your Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor or Master studies in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in embedded software development, gained through academic projects, student competitions, or prior internships
  • Understanding of sensor and actuator interfacing, including hardware-software integration and communication between embedded systems and peripheral devices
