The Role
We are looking for an RF Design Engineer to join our international team. The RF system spans telemetry and flight termination across the launch vehicle, ground systems, down-range ground stations, and satellite networks. You will work independently and autonomously as part of a small team, performing high-performance engineering work across this broad, multidisciplinary domain.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and troubleshoot RF systems based on off-the-shelf components
- Plan and implement qualification and acceptance testing of RF systems
- Test RF systems in the field and via analysis and simulation
- Integrate RF components onto the vehicle
- Perform RF-related literature reviews and research
- Become familiar with RF telemetry and flight termination requirements from RCC, IRIG, and ECSS standards
- Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for analysis and test
- Collaborate across teams throughout the company
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in telecommunications, RF, microwave engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or equivalent
- Strong foundation in digital RF communications theory: modulation, forward error correction, software defined radios, and DSP
- Strong foundation in electromagnetic principles, antenna theory and design, transmission line theory, link margin analysis, electronics and embedded systems, and RF simulation
- Hands-on programming experience with Python, C, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Hands-on experience with wireless communications or telemetry systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of test and troubleshooting equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analysers, and signal generators
- Fluent oral and written English (all day-to-day activities conducted in English)
