The Role
You will take ownership of the electrical infrastructure that powers launch and test operations, from initial concept development through commissioning and operational readiness. Working on technically challenging projects involving high-reliability power systems and critical infrastructure, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, and construction to build and maintain the facilities that make successful launch campaigns possible.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, oversee construction, and commission electrical infrastructure for launch and test sites
- Define and drive technical requirements for site layouts, utilities, and electrical systems
- Develop and guide implementation of LV and MV power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and grounding concepts
- Ensure consistent documentation standards across electrical systems, infrastructure projects, and operational assets
- Support and mentor engineers and technicians during implementation, testing, and commissioning
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are clearly communicated and delivered
- Monitor project progress, manage technical risks, and provide regular status updates
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience designing, installing, commissioning, or operating industrial electrical power distribution systems
- Strong expertise in AC power systems, including LV/MV switchgear, distribution boards, transformers, protection systems, and grounding
- Solid understanding of power system design and analysis, including load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and protection coordination
- Ability to develop, review, and maintain electrical engineering documentation such as single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Experience managing electrical systems throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work hands-on with hardware, installations, testing activities, and fault investigation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Fluent English, written and spoken
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in launch, aerospace, energy, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with IEC, BS, or comparable international electrical standards
- Experience coordinating contractors, construction activities, or external engineering partners
- Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience
