The Role

Join the avionics design engineering team in Long Beach, CA. You will participate in the development and test of avionics hardware for spacecraft programs, working across all aspects of electrical hardware development: requirements definition, design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production. You will have frequent opportunities to test and operate your systems on orbit.

What You Will Do

  • Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplines
  • Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer
  • Conduct circuit analysis, including power, tolerance, and reliability studies
  • Execute PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing
  • Provide production manufacturing support as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • Strong background in analog electronics design
  • Proficiency performing circuit analyses in SPICE and Excel
  • U.S. citizenship (due to program requirements)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • Proficiency with basic electronic lab equipment: power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, soldering irons
  • Experience designing for space environments, including radiation impacts and mitigation
  • Experience designing high-reliability aerospace applications
  • Experience designing rigid-flex PCBs and electromechanical design familiarity
  • Experience with FPGA design and embedded software development for ARM core processors
  • Demonstrated success working in dynamic environments and managing competing priorities

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $82,400 to $103,000 USD. Total compensation (base and equity): $89,350 to $115,025 USD.

Working Conditions
