About the Role

The Avionics Quality Inspector supports Quality Assurance inspections for fabrication, assembly, installation, and test of wire and fiber cable harnesses, electronics components, and satellite assemblies. This is a 100% onsite position in Cape Canaveral, Florida, working day shift 07:00 to 16:00.

What You Will Do

• Perform Quality Assurance inspections for cable harnesses and electronics components including fabrication, assembly, installation, and test phases.
• Execute DWV/IR, continuity, and isolation testing in accordance with engineering documentation and specifications.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, mechanical, and electrical inspections using standard procedures and precision measuring devices.
• Accept or reject work for conformance to standards and specifications.
• Inspect completed and in-process assemblies on flight and ground support equipment in a Class 8 clean room environment.
• Verify compliance to applicable standards and approved documentation including satellite assembly techniques.
• Maintain inspection records and documentation as required.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams, vendors, and the Quality Manager regarding non-conforming products, workmanship deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Comply with ESD and cleanroom requirements at all times.

Required Experience and Education

• Minimum 3 years' experience in quality inspection of cable fabrication, assembly, and installation, or other relevant industry experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent (experience in lieu of education may be considered).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and cable lists.
• Familiarity working in AS9100D environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in satellite, flight, and ground support assembly and fabrication.
• Familiarity with IPC-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, and J-STD-001 standards.
• Cable-Eye or other PC-based Hi-Pot testing and programming experience.
• Experience integrating processes and procedures in a clean room environment.
• Experience with JIRA, Net-Inspect, and ERP systems.

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive movement and fine motor control for inspection tasks.
• Long periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces.
• Ability to handle, control, and feel objects, tools, and controls.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorization from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR compliance).
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening.

Schedule and Travel

• Day shift, 07:00 to 16:00.
• Less than 10% travel.
