Role Summary

The Integration and Test Engineer defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets tests for products, systems, components, or modifications in coordination with other engineering functions. You may oversee activities associated with the integration and testing of satellite components and systems, identifying functional problems and suggesting resolutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with design, development, and manufacturing engineers to implement and deploy solutions supporting system configuration, test equipment, and hardware components
• Build, test, and deploy satellite hardware and software components
• Troubleshoot problems to isolate defects at unit and system level
• Develop test plans, cases, and procedures
• Document and analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports
• Update existing training documentation and online help to reflect system changes
• Ensure testing procedures comply with required industry standards
• Coordinate with vendors for technical interface details
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field (experience in lieu of education may be considered)
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Two years' experience with system integration and testing processes, systems documentation, systems requirements, systems verification, or other relevant industry experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience with system engineering lifecycle tools
• Experience with root cause and corrective action processes
• Experience with Altium and SolidWorks or similar tools
• Experience with Python, Linux, Bash, or similar languages
• Hands-on circuit board testing and troubleshooting experience

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work, occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or move objects
• Daily use of laptop, computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes with headset

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite in Cape Canaveral. Day shift generally 7:00am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 5:00pm. Some overtime may be expected. Travel requirement: less than 10%.
