About the Role
You will contribute to developing and implementing advanced ground system solutions for the Space Development Agency's Accelerated Missile Defense Tranche 3 (AMDT3) program. You represent the integrated whole during ground system development, working to align segments and subsystems through top-down decomposition of stakeholder requirements, traceability through development artifacts, and bottom-up validation and verification.
In this role you will:
- Specify, architect, and integrate complex ground system solutions including command and control, mission operations, data processing, and network/communications infrastructure
- Derive, decompose, allocate, trace, and manage ground system requirements and architectures
- Define and document concepts of operation for ground-to-space mission support
- Support development milestone reviews by creating required artifacts and deliverables
- Support system integration and verification activities to ensure ground system functionality and performance
- Identify and manage technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and contribute to continuous improvement
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Lead small teams to execute systems engineering scope in a high-tempo environment
You will work in a fast-paced, mission-critical development lifecycle with an aggressive schedule. The role values rapid iteration and pragmatic streamlining of processes alongside adherence to established engineering standards.
