About the Role
You will support an engineering team developing environmental and propulsion spaceflight systems. You'll assist in the analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical, fluid, and pressure control hardware and systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical, fluid, and pressure control hardware and systems
- Collect and analyze data to support engineering objectives based on performance requirements and industry standards
- Contribute to the resolution of routine technical problems
- Prepare technical documentation to communicate findings and support project objectives
- Work within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines
- Communicate technical concepts clearly both verbally and in writing
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 0-2 years of experience
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
- Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing concepts
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from senior engineers
- Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in mechanical engineering or related environment
- Hands-on mechanical experience such as engineering competition team, senior design project, robotics, or 3D printing
- Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter and NX applications
- Familiarity with GD&T
- Familiarity with design, analysis, and test methods related to mechanical, fluid, and/or pressure systems
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material sciences, and their impact on mechanical systems
Compensation
Pay range: $70,213.00 - $96,542.50
Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
