About the Role

This entry-level position focuses on supporting senior engineers on solar array system projects. You will assist in the analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical and electrical systems and components.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assist in development of new solar array technologies
  • Develop and perform test campaigns to support qualification of new technologies related to solar arrays
  • Contribute to the resolution of routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and support project objectives
  • Work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts and information verbally and in writing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
  • Typically entry-level, 0-2 years of experience
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
  • Basic application and use of technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
  • Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity
  • Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from senior engineers
  • Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts and information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co-op experience in a mechanical engineering or related environment
  • Familiarity with design, analysis, and test methods related to mechanical systems or electrical power systems
  • Familiarity with engineering CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, or similar, including detail drawing standards and GD&T
  • Familiarity with design of experiments and data analytics to support design trade studies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a collaborative and dynamic work environment
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material sciences, and their impact on mechanical systems

Compensation

Pay Range: $77,234.00-$106,196.75

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
