About the Role
This entry-level position focuses on supporting senior engineers in thermal design and analysis of mechanical systems. You will assist in the analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems and components related to propulsion, structures, and environmental systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting senior engineers in analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems and components
- Collecting and analyzing data related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, structural analysis, and environmental systems
- Contributing to resolution of routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity
- Preparing technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and support project objectives
- Working effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines
- Clearly communicating technical concepts and information verbally and in writing

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
- Typically entry-level, 0-2 years of experience
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
- Basic application and use of technical principles in mechanical systems
- Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity
- Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from senior engineers
- Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts and information
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in mechanical engineering or related environment
- Familiarity with design, analysis, and test methods related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, and environmental systems
- Familiarity with engineering CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, or similar, including detail drawing standards and GD&T
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a collaborative and dynamic work environment
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material sciences, and their impact on mechanical systems
Compensation
Pay Range: $77,234.00 - $106,196.75
Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
