About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer I, you will design, develop, modify, and evaluate components and processes used in complex electrical systems. This entry-level position offers valuable experience under the guidance of experienced professionals on cutting-edge space projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical components and systems
  • Modify and evaluate existing electrical systems to improve performance and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical designs meet project requirements and standards
  • Conduct tests and simulations to validate the performance of electrical systems and components
  • Document design processes, test results, and modifications for future reference
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for electrical systems and components
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and apply new knowledge to ongoing projects
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and progress discussions

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
  • Typically 0-2+ years of experience
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and components
  • Basic understanding of electrical design tools and equipment
  • Basic understanding of electrical design tasks
  • Ability to learn, receive instruction and mentorship from more experienced engineers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co-op experience in electrical engineering
  • Exposure to electrical design software such as Capital, AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, or similar tools
  • Exposure to simulation software like SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar
  • Understanding of PCB design and layout
  • Understanding of power electronics and/or control systems
  • Exposure to microcontrollers, embedded systems, or FPGAs
  • Ability to perform circuit analysis and troubleshooting using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
  • Exposure to programming languages such as C/C++ or Python for embedded systems development

Compensation

Pay Range: $77,403.00 - $106,450.50

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
