About the Role

You will design, develop, and test software applications for space systems and technologies. Your responsibilities include:

  • Writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
  • Collaborating with team members to understand project requirements and contribute to software solutions
  • Utilizing version control systems such as Git to manage code changes and work effectively with teams
  • Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to development standards
  • Troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues in a timely manner
  • Documenting software designs, configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference
  • Staying current with industry trends and advancements in software development and space technologies
  • Working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality software solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
  • Typically 2 or more years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of at least one programming language, and general knowledge of others
  • Strong understanding of software development principles
  • Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software applications
  • Experience with different software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB
  • Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, including requirements management and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
  • Experience developing software interface control documents
  • Experience developing and managing requirements specifications
  • Decomposition of requirements and design experience
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Exposure to baseline definition and maturation in complex development settings, including high impact trade studies
  • Understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)

Compensation

Pay Range: $105,534.00 - $145,109.25

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

Clearance and Citizenship Requirement

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
