About the Role
You will design, develop, and test software applications for space systems and technologies. Your responsibilities include:
- Writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
- Collaborating with team members to understand project requirements and contribute to software solutions
- Utilizing version control systems such as Git to manage code changes and work effectively with teams
- Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to development standards
- Troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues in a timely manner
- Documenting software designs, configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference
- Staying current with industry trends and advancements in software development and space technologies
- Working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality software solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
- Typically 2 or more years of related experience
- Strong understanding of at least one programming language, and general knowledge of others
- Strong understanding of software development principles
- Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software applications
- Experience with different software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB
- Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, including requirements management and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
- Experience developing software interface control documents
- Experience developing and managing requirements specifications
- Decomposition of requirements and design experience
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Exposure to baseline definition and maturation in complex development settings, including high impact trade studies
- Understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
Compensation
Pay Range: $105,534.00 - $145,109.25
Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
Clearance and Citizenship Requirement
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
