About the Role

You will contribute to developing advanced system solutions for Dream Chaser by aligning technical teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Your focus is on integrating segments and subsystems through top-down requirements decomposition, artifact traceability, and bottom-up validation and verification.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Specify, architect, and integrate complex system solutions with cross-functional teams
  • Derive, decompose, allocate, trace, and manage system requirements and architectures
  • Define and document system concepts of operation
  • Create artifacts and deliverables for development milestone reviews
  • Participate in system integration and verification activities
  • Identify and manage technical risks, developing mitigation strategies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to established engineering processes and standards
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Practical understanding of Systems Engineering principles and systems development lifecycle
  • Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation
  • Conceptual knowledge of systems architecture, systems integration, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
  • Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • Experience with Requirements Management and Model Based Systems Engineering tools (DOORS, CAMEO EA, Rhapsody, Matlab, SysML)
  • Basic understanding of spacecraft systems, including hardware and software subsystems
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies including risk management and technical performance tracking
  • Familiarity with technical baseline and configuration management
  • Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Compensation

Pay Range: $94,090.00 - $129,394.75

Actual base compensation determined case-by-case based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
