About the Role
You will perform detailed inspections of manufacturing goods during the production process. This includes conducting visual, dimensional, and electrical inspections of individual items, sub-assemblies, and final system assemblies. You will interpret prints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, wire cards, and lists to approve or reject in-process or final assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of manufacturing goods during the manufacturing process
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of individual items, sub-assemblies, or final system assemblies
- Interpret prints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, wire cards, and lists
- Approve or reject in-process or final assemblies
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and industry certifications
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
- Communicate inspection findings to relevant stakeholders
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite tools for documentation and reporting
- Develop understanding of industry standards and certifications, including NASA and IPC
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically 1+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and documents
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring concepts and specifications
- Basic use and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to understand and interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance
- Experience following and providing input to work instructions and SOPs
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
- Advanced certifications in quality assurance or inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector)
- Proficiency with basic inspection hand tools and equipment
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality data analysis
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
- Experience with quality management software and databases (NC, CAPA, Calibration)
- Knowledge of electrical testing equipment and techniques
- Experience in a regulated industry, such as aerospace or defense
Compensation
Pay Range: $23.61 - $32.48 per hour. Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
