Integration Technician (Falcon)
The Integration Technician is responsible for the assembly, integration and build of flight hardware for Falcon 9. You will perform both avionics and mechanical integration, along with pneumatic and avionics checkout activity. This is the final integration of the first and second stage of the Falcon 9 rocket.
Responsibilities
- Stage, set up, assemble, test and install flight hardware
- Use precision calibrated tools: torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers
- Handle large and small fragile assemblies with care
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Use various mechanical and hand tools independently
- Perform hydro and pneumatic testing
- Collaborate with production engineers to develop and document activities
- Ensure all production services are performed on time, safely and professionally
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of experience with propulsion, avionics, or automotive hardware installation, OR a certificate from an accredited trade school or programme
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Aerospace, aviation, military or high-volume manufacturing environment experience
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals and reports
- Precision measuring instruments experience
- Forklift, crane and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and propulsion engines
- Manual dexterity with hand and power tools
- Effective teamwork and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
- Able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
Shift Options
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 4am-2:30pm
- 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-2am
- Weekend Day: Thursday-Sunday, 4am-4pm
- Weekend Night: Saturday-Tuesday, 4pm-4am
Compensation
- Integration Technician Level 1: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
- Integration Technician Level 2: $26.00-$32.50 per hour
- Integration Technician Level 3: $31.00-$38.00 per hour
Actual level and base salary determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
