Integration & Test Engineer (Starlink Aviation)
As an Integration & Test Engineer supporting our enterprise aviation customers, you will own test software, test equipment, and integrated testing of electrical and network systems. You will be a technical resource for engineering, specialist and technician colleagues, developing and maintaining high-reliability, high-performing enterprise network solutions for Starlink.
Responsibilities
- Design, activate and operate test hardware and equipment including test software to evaluate component and system performance for mobility network applications
- Troubleshoot hardware issues in real-time and push feedback to correct owners to eliminate repeat issues
- Conduct investigations and root-cause analysis of non-conformances, and work with responsible engineers to develop test requirements for flight hardware and drive design improvements
- Work with teams across electrical, mechanical, and software engineering to conceptualize and develop test systems for Starlink hardware
- Create and modify software applications to run data acquisition and control systems
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of professional mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing experience (internships, co-ops and club projects apply)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- Experience with integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and/or structural systems
- Experience working with composites and integration of avionics systems
- Documentation and configuration management experience
- Experience writing test plans and procedures and providing go/no-go judgment
- Experience in a production environment
- Demonstrated engineering intuition, critical thinking, and comfort with ambiguity
Additional Requirements
- Some travel to launch sites may be required, up to 25%
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
Compensation
- Level 1: $100,000.00 - $117,500.00
- Level 2: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is one part of your total rewards package.
