RF Systems Analysis Engineer, Regulatory (Starlink)

As an RF Systems Analysis Engineer supporting Starlink's regulatory and licensing efforts, you will apply RF expertise to advance Starlink's spectrum position with domestic and global regulators.
What you will do
- Support technical analyses of radio frequency interference and satellite spectrum coordination
- Model Starlink and other non-geostationary satellite operational topologies and hardware
- Simulate operational scenarios including regulatory constraints, geographic constraints, RF link budgets, constellation growth, customer growth, and coordination strategies
- Analyze network and user experience impacts from simulation results, and make recommendations on satellite policy and coordination strategy
- Provide strategic regulatory recommendations and advocacy support to business development
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline
- Experience in MATLAB, Python, C++ or other tools for modeling and analyzing RF systems
- 1+ years of research, design, development, or regulatory experience in RF and/or antenna domain (internship, thesis, or extracurricular work counts)
Preferred skills and experience
- Basic understanding of satellite hardware and orbital mechanics
- Experience with Visualyse
- Experience modeling large non-geostationary satellite constellations
- Experience in satellite network simulation development and analysis
- RF topics in satellite communications: link budgets, antenna theory and design, interference analysis
Other requirements
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines
Compensation
Level 1: $125,000 - $160,000
Level 2: $145,000 - $195,000
Base salary determined case-by-case based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. ITAR requirement
