About the role

You'll work as Sourcing Manager for PCB and electrical components supporting Starlink, the world's largest satellite constellation delivering broadband internet globally. This high-profile, cross-functional position directly enables satellite development and production flow, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to execute supply chain strategies and achieve production goals.

Your responsibilities

• Work directly with key suppliers to develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies supporting existing platforms and new product development
• Pull and aggregate demand forecasts for hardware used in the Starlink satellite constellation to enable accurate demand signals
• Serve as supplier interface for all RFIs, RFPs and RFQs
• Partner with internal stakeholders to run RFX process and evaluation, then implement sourcing decisions
• Manage costs aggressively to ensure adherence to project-specific budgets and forecasts
• Develop should-cost models for competitive cost analysis
• Ensure suppliers are prepared to support prototype builds, ramp-up and mass production with appropriate equipment and materials
• Drive internal and external process improvements to enhance efficiency and implement cost-saving programs
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives on contract awards, cost reviews, and critical supply issues
• Develop, manage and maintain strong supplier partnerships
• Implement analytical data management tools to track supplier performance

Requirements

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material or production planning, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, master production scheduling, or technical procurement/planning with PCB, PCBA or electrical components
• OR 9+ years of experience in the above fields without a degree

Preferred skills and experience:

• Experience with printed circuit board and/or substrate fabrication
• Experience with PCBAs, contract manufacturing, electronic component packaging, or managing a technical supply chain
• Experience managing high-spend portfolios (10M+)
• Experience with MRP or ERP systems, managing bill of materials, work orders and purchase orders
• Experience with forecasting, demand planning and lead time analysis
• Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL and PowerBI
• Effective written and verbal communication at all levels
• Ability to learn quickly and prioritize in a fast-moving environment
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated and responsive to change
• Integrity and sense of urgency

Working conditions

• Position is onsite in Redmond, WA - remote work not considered
• May need to work irregular hours to coordinate with global suppliers across time zones
• Able to travel for short and extended trips as needed
• Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends when needed

Compensation and benefits

Pay Range (Level 3): $120,000 - $175,000

Actual level and base salary determined case-by-case based on job-related knowledge and skills, education and experience.
