You will design, develop, and operate spacecraft ADCS systems, including systems integration, analysis, simulation, testing, mission operations, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Design the spacecraft ADCS subsystem and define its requirements.
  • Design and implement guidance and control algorithms in embedded software.
  • Guide GNC hardware procurement.
  • Develop ADCS component emulators in integrated modeling environments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to validate hardware systems.
  • Design ADCS verification and validation approach, including environmental and acceptance testing.
  • Ensure documentation meets company standards.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field.
  • At least five years designing, analyzing, and building software in an aerospace environment or equivalent industry experience.
  • Software skills in C and C++.
  • Knowledge of control and optimization theory.
  • Expertise in numerical programming environments such as Python or MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with ADCS design and simulation for spacecraft systems.
  • Experience running dynamic simulations for spacecraft.
  • Proven track record designing and developing software systems for terrestrial or satellite applications.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and capability to develop innovative solutions to advanced engineering challenges.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace systems requirements and challenges for space missions.
