The Mission

Starpath Robotics is developing a full-stack solution for commercial scale rocket propellant production on the Moon and Mars. You will help build one of the key enabling technologies that makes humans a multi-planet species.

The Role

You will be a member of the team responsible for the design, analysis, and qualification of all avionics systems at Starpath across all product lines. Systems include motion control, communications, compute, power management, sensor payloads, and more. You will serve as the responsible engineer on these systems from developing design requirements through to flight execution.

Responsibilities

• Own subsystems and components from requirements to deployment
• Determine qualification testing criteria in accordance with spaceflight testing standards
• Validate subsystems and components via testing in simulated launch and lunar surface environments
• Work cross-functionally with adjacent teams to incorporate electrical, thermal, and software requirements while meeting integration timelines and system milestones

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 1+ years of experience developing electrical systems for space applications
• Experience with electrical board design (schematic capture, PCB layout, electrical circuit simulation)
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and setup (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, data acquisition)
• Strong technical communication and ability to work in a fast paced team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience developing electrical systems for space applications
• Track record of delivering spaceflight hardware across the entire product lifecycle
• Extensive experience with one or more of: embedded system design, environmental testing for space environments, power system design, rapid board prototyping, or radiation effects mitigation and testing
