About the role
The Exploration Company is building Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle designed to carry cargo and eventually humans, with in-orbit refueling capability. We need an AIT EVT & Thermal Engineer to ensure Nyx can be successfully integrated, tested and launched.
What you will do
- Manage the complete EVT campaign from facility setup through end of testing, including GSE definition, procurement, test procedure writing and execution
- Collect and compile test requirements from subsystem owners and chief engineering
- Optimize and consolidate the testing flow based on gathered requirements
- Create detailed procedures for assembly, mechanical setups and integration using Epsilon3, ODOO and Team Center tools
- Execute test procedures and lead interaction with AIT engineers and technicians
- Serve as the focal point between The Exploration Company and external test facilities for mechanical, thermal and EMC/EMI testing
- Manage internal and external stakeholders across propulsion, thermal, thermal protection, avionics and power teams
- Lead resolution of anomalies during integration and testing
- Write AIT documentation before and after integration and test activities
- Prepare final test reports and documentation
- Support procurement of test equipment (TGSE, MGSE, FGSE) and components
- Identify blockages, problems and propose improvements to AIT processes
Required experience and qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree in mechanical science or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in AIT of aerospace vehicles
- Experience conducting test campaigns (EVT campaign experience preferred)
