Deputy Flight Software Lead Verified today
The Exploration Company is building spacecrafts for humanity. The Deputy Lead Flight Software reports to the Lead Flight Software and plays a key role in ensuring effective coordination and execution of Flight Software activities. You will act as a central interface across Flight Software, other functional disciplines, Mission Operations, and ESA.
Your responsibilities
- Own and coordinate the development logic and schedule of Flight Software activities, ensuring consistency with overall team execution and correct prioritization
- Manage and coordinate the relationship with ESA on Flight Software-related topics
- Coordinate Flight Software risk management, ensuring risks are identified, followed up, and addressed
- Ensure consistency, development, and maintenance of development tools required by the Flight Software team
- Ensure a consistent cadence of checkpoints and coordinate the definition and closure of requirements with functional chain owners in other disciplines, Mission Operations, and within the Flight Software team
- Support hiring activities and act as a point of contact for finance, export control, and other tasks linked to efficient operation of the Flight Software organization
What you bring
- 5 or more years of professional experience
- Strong structured thinking and ability to organize and manage complex topics
- A strong "get things done" mindset
- Experience in flight software development
- Ability to work effectively across different functional teams and disciplines
- Strong coordination and communication skills
