About the Role
The Exploration Company is seeking a Ground Segment Engineer to work on the ground segment for our lunar lander project. You will report to the Principal Engineer and work closely with other engineering disciplines to deliver mission-critical ground systems.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the ground segment for the project, including:
- Define the architecture of the ground segment
- Design and develop ground segment hardware and software tools
- Ensure reliability through rigorous automated and manual testing
- Document the ground segment tools
- Procure all related hardware and means for the ground segment
- Validate the ground segment performance
- Partner with testing and operations teams to understand and meet needs
- Support test procedures definition and test operations
What We're Looking For
You should have:
- 3+ years of experience in ground segment development for aerospace projects
- Experience with development and testing of user-facing software applications
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, or similar
- Familiarity with aerospace telecommunication standards
- Knowledge of backup systems, storage management, and recovery procedures
- Experience with hardware integration and RF systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, networking, and application layers
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks
- Positive and flexible attitude to get the job done
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
