At The Exploration Company, you will work at the forefront of crewed vehicle development. You will design, develop, test, and improve engineering systems and technology under mentor guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and improve products, systems, or processes
- Contribute to real-world engineering projects and deliverables
- Apply engineering principles and coursework to solve technical problems
- Develop, test, debug, and document technical solutions, tools, or prototypes
- Analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to support engineering decisions
- Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and technical discussions
- Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project updates
- Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities
Basic Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Three months or more of relevant engineering experience through prior internships, co-op programs, or industry projects
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (due to ITAR/EAR regulations)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above
- Six months or more of relevant engineering experience through prior internships, co-op programs, or industry projects
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated hands-on experience through academic projects, student organizations, internships, research, personal projects, or technical hobbies
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for learning new technologies and applying engineering principles to real-world challenges
- Proficiency with relevant engineering tools, programming languages, or technical platforms
Additional Requirements
- Able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 12 weeks beginning May 2027
- Must provide your own relocation and housing
