About the role

The Exploration Company is building innovative aerospace technologies that advance the future of space transportation. We are looking for a System Engineer to help prepare and execute functional and environmental tests for the Nyx spacecraft, maintain requirement traceability, and document results to support verification closure.

What you will do

  • Support the definition and implementation of Nyx Earth system integration and verification activities, considering model philosophy, facilities availability, planning and costing.
  • Define test plans and specifications with clear success criteria and support generation of test procedures.
  • Prepare, organize and execute spacecraft functional system campaigns to ensure closure of all system safety and performance requirements, including nominal and off-nominal behaviors.
  • Coordinate integration and test of subsystems and components to ensure alignment and connectivity of higher-level integrated systems.
  • Organize reviews and prepare data packages in support of integration and verification activities.
  • Generate reports and products that drive closure of verifications.
  • Collaborate with functional chain leads and engineering disciplines to prepare and perform tests.
  • Process anomalies occurring during test campaigns in coordination with the Product Assurance Team and engineering team.

What you bring

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in systems design, analysis, and testing of aerospace or space-related systems.
  • Hands-on hardware experience.
  • Practical experience with functional test platforms such as software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and bench testing.
  • Experience working with spacecraft requirements, NASA standards, and ECSS standards.
  • Experience in development and verification of space hardware.
  • Spacecraft systems knowledge, with focus on flight software, avionics, and guidance, navigation, and control.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced development environment.

Location and conditions

This is a full-time position based in Munich, Germany. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are provided where applicable. All offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check.
